My concerns about whether this coalition was a good idea were removed by actually reading the coalition agreement and seeing the number of policies we have managed to get agreement on.
Seeing things like :-
Now of course we have to explain to our coalition partners that a reasonable limit on political donations from an individual should be measured in thousands and not millions of pounds.
And on the things we have had to give some ground on like nuclear power, trident, tuition fees – We must remember there is not a not a majority in the commons for our position, the Conservative and Labour parties agree.
In a coalition – we must fight the battles we can win, not the ones we can’t.
But with a coalition agreement we have our Liberal Democrat foot in the door, we should use the opportunity kick it wide open, and really show what we can do.
Please support the motion as a whole.
